The Wing’s mission is the social, economic, professional, and civic advancement of women through community. To best support this goal, we are starting to build our in-house digital community team to lay the groundwork for digital community growth for years to come.  

This role reports into the Member Experience team and strives to help Wing members build meaningful connections: contributing to the retention, personal growth, and professional success of members everywhere. Our ideal candidate is one who is passionate about collaboration, online social engagement, shared passions, and The Wing’s mission. You empathize with members, work hard to understand their experience, and are obsessed with developing new features and initiatives to bring them closer together. You’re constantly thinking about the magic that lives at the intersection of community and product and your goal is to help The Wing community grow and thrive.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Work closely with our Member Experience and Product teams to develop and foster engagement and connections between Wing members through our app and digital platform.
  • Work side-by-side with the Product team and Community team to help drive community feature discovery, explore innovative and human-centric solutions, and deliver community to our current and future members. 
  • Play a critical role in establishing the team's principles, process, and culture, as an early member of the Digital Community team.
  • Drive product and community initiatives designed to develop high-quality and meaningful connections between members.
  • Work cross-functionally with community managers in our spaces to develop programs that drive both physical and digital engagement. 
  • Advocate for product priorities to improve and grow digital engagement among Wing members.
  • Create engagement goals and develop programs in support of achieving those goals. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years strategic, creative, and hands-on experience building and scaling online communities
  • Outstanding online communication skills
  • Comfort working with product teams in a fast-paced startup environment
