The Job: Elevator Pitch

We help amazing startups grow, thrive and succeed. We do that by offering space, advice, facilities and opportunities to the startups and entrepreneurs who work with us.

Right now our community of 1,800 members work, meet, think (and occasionally) drink from our four thriving locations in London and Bristol.

We’re lucky enough to work with the most innovative, exciting and passionate entrepreneurs in the UK, and we’re on the hunt for an organised, enthusiastic, self-starting Events Hero to be the first port of call for our wonderful event spaces.


The Job: The Nitty Gritty

Our Events and Community Hero will head up and oversee the success of our external events across our 3 London sites. You will be a problem solver, a fast thinker and sociable, as well as ruling a spreadsheet with an iron fist.

You’ll be picking up a busy, fast moving, external facing function which directly impacts how people perceive our brand - exceptional customer service is a must from day one. You’ll be friendly, warm, clear and confident, with a talent for written comms as well as face to face.

The Events and Community Hero presents a fantastic opportunity to hone your interpersonal skills whilst becoming an operational whizz, as well as become entrenched in a network of the latest innovators of the UK tech scene.


What You’ll Be Doing

External Events Extraordinaire

  • Manage inbound events queries and liaise with clients to ascertain their requirements
  • Actively find new event leads and bookings
  • Promote our event spaces through various online platforms, including our website
  • Source all third-party suppliers and act as the main point of contact
  • Look for opportunities to maximise events revenue through additional offerings
  • Coordinate a team of temporary events staff to run events
  • Handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly
  • Follow up and gather feedback from customers to check the quality of service and promote repeat bookings
  • Record data and metrics for all events, and report your achieved KPIs to the General Manager
  • Manage and promote external meeting room bookings

Internal Community Support

  • You'll be helping to support our brilliant Community team with internal events, helping to map out and deliver logistical and operational excellence. You'll also jump in to help with the running of our spaces in super busy periods.

  • Experience running events desirable, but not essential
  • Previous work experience in hospitality or other customer-facing roles is also great

£20,000 - £24,000 depending on experience
