The Job: The Nitty Gritty
Design and forge our sales strategy
You’ll translate the sales strategy, co-formulated with the CEO, into a deliverable plan. You'll be the driving force behind the planning, execution, reporting and analysis of our overall sales strategy, focusing on key metrics such as revenue, CAC, ARPA, retention rates, etc.
You'll be constantly improving our lead generation and sales processes, looking for new ways to deliver impact and deliver sales performance against budget. You'll be able to put together a scalable process and strategy that can accommodate Runway East's growth plans.
Manage our sales team
You will oversee the day to day management of the sales team, ensuring they have everything they need to succeed: context, clarity, targets, support, coaching and mentoring them. You'll have an analytical mind, and will produce data-driven insights for your team challenging the status-quo and looking for constant improvements.
You’ll set targets, track progress and provide clear forecasting and reporting of performance, as well as working hand in hand with our Marketing team to advise on content and direction.
We want someone happy to be quite hands on with the team on day to day basis: support, guidance, troubleshooting as well as leading the recruitment of all new team members into the team.
Create a great sales culture
Our company culture is really important to us and we want someone who can help translate that into a healthy thriving sales culture that they embody themselves- introducing healthy competition, encouraging an environment that is both at the same time target-focused but also collaborative and supportive.
Being familiar with the startup ecosystem with an entrepreneurial mindset is definitely key to succeed in this role.
We need someone who is excellent at building relationships with external stakeholders (clients, partners, prospects, etc) as well as with the RWE leadership team. You'll be reporting regularly on sales performance against targets and will work closely and collaborate on a daily basis with other teams such as Marketing, Product, GMs etc.
An established sales leader
Considerable experience as a sales leader in relationship sales, ideally in a high-growth tech company - with a track record of hitting and exceeding targets, optimising the sales funnel and growing revenue.
We aim to deeply understand our clients’ problems and sell customised options to them to solve their immediate and longer term needs and your approach to sale will mirror ours.
A natural coach and team builder
You'll have previous experience managing a sales team: clearly defining roles and responsibilities, establishing a weekly rhythm, setting priorities and targets, hiring, performance management, coaching, conflict resolution.
You lead by example and maximise your team's potential by inspiring them to do their best!
A process expert
You’ll have built sales teams in the past, either from inception or have been a key player in an existing startup sales team and know how to assemble a 'scalable' sales framework (structure, process, targets and measurements) that’s had proven success.
Extremely analytical, you will use those skills to produce data-driven insights for the team and constantly improve our sales process.
You’re multi-faceted and adaptable. You have the ability to strike a balan
