Job Description

Urban Campus continuously seek additional buildings to create new coliving campuses in up-and-coming neighborhoods in European main cities. Through partnerships with real estate investors, buildings can be acquired or let. The role of the Business Development Manager is to source these opportunities, secure the buildings, negotiate attractive economic/legal terms and support the transformation into operational campuses.

This is a demanding position with significant responsibilities and workload that required strong organization and negotiation skills. We therefore look for a highly talented and motivated individual with demonstrable experience and an established network of contacts. The position is based in Paris and will work very closely, and report, to Urban Campus's Chief Development Officer.

Here is what will be expected from you, as a Business Development Manager:

Business development&Investment

  • Identify, negotiate and deliver new buildings to be operated as urban campuses, mainly in France but also in other European territories
  • Build strong relationships with developers, investors, landlords, brokers, municipalities and other real estate professionals.
  • Market Urban Campus and coliving to the real estate community.
  • Execute real estate acquisitions of assets to be redevelopped into Urban Campus coliving residences.

Opportunities analysis and asset modeling

  • Analyze opportunities to evaluate operational and financial viability
  • Run asset models for spaces under review/management.
  • Establish operational budgets, recommend improvements and provide creative solutions to close development deals
  • Refine strategy in collaboration with Urban Campus’ founders
  • Prepare and present monthly activity reports.
  • Supervise negotiations development agreements (including legal documentation).
  • Monitor progress of development deals from identification to hand-over.
