Your tasks will be:

For an EU Project on creating the European multi-brand standards on platooning we are looking for a PhD Student (Promotion).

  • Actively take part in the Multi-Brand European Platooning research project
  • Build hypotheses and develop theories within this project using scientifc methodologies
  • Define business and service models, as well as software components in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Trucks R&D
  • Coordinate the implementation of the service and business models you created based on the agreed projects deliverables with the project initiator as an prototype /demonstrator • Document your research progress and work
  • Document and publish the results of your research at reputable scientifc conferences and in journals of the feld

Requirements

The ftting candidate ideally should bring the following qualifcations:

  • Master’s degree in Business Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines
  • Excellent understanding of digital services
  • Very good scripting skills for data analysis, preferably in R, Python or Matlab.
  • Adequate programming skills for prototyping software And above all the motivation:
  • To work in a complex environment with lots of room for own ideas to optimize the status quo.
  • To take responsibilities to push state of the art digital solutions for the global logistics industry The result of this work may, and is encouraged to, compile into a doctoral dissertation.
