It started in Berlin in 2015. We were working from a coworking space and began noticing something worth paying attention to: the way shared workplaces were quietly changing how people connect, create, and build careers. That curiosity sent us packing.
Over the next few years we crisscrossed continents, sitting down with the founders, managers, and members who keep these spaces alive. We met communities of entrepreneurs, artists, shoemakers, even a space run by and for the elderly. Every visit confirmed what we suspected: behind every coworking space is a story worth telling.
The idea for a book came from Tomas, who runs a space in Chinatown, New York. Other people echoed it. Eventually we stopped resisting and started writing. Two years, a global pandemic, and a successful crowdfunding campaign later, Around the World in 250 Coworking Spaces shipped to readers on six continents.
