Bond Collective is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our growing team and aid the corporate finance department to support our nationwide expansion. Reporting directly to our Financial Controller, the Accounting Assistant will be responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable and assist the Controller with a variety of ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Review all billing invoices and track and distribute to appropriate department heads
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, checks and invoices
  • Process and enter large invoices across multiple entities to appropriate budget or expense categories
  • Process, print and distribute checks accordingly to vendors, partners and department heads
  • Audit and process credit card bills and statements
  • Complete 1099 annual maintenance
  • Respond to all vendor, partner and customer inquiries and billing questions
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Assist in closing the books each month
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Prepare, verify, and process invoices for services rendered
  • Organize and track customer payments by cash, checks, and credit card transactions
  • Prepare monthly receivable statements and collect outstanding balances from customers
  • Requirements:

  • High school diploma required, completed courses in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of Accounting experience
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with a commitment to produce a high quality accounting and reporting product
  • Develop and maintain client relationships as assigned
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to juggle and prioritize tasks according to needs and deadlines
  • Must be able to follow standard Accounting filing procedures
  • Possess a detail-oriented focus with a structured level of organization and commitment to streamlining processes
  • Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills
