What’s it all about?

In Belfast, we have over 40 member companies and the role of the Community and Events Executive is to understand our members requirements and deliver a series of programmes and events for them such as business advisory, wellness, learning and development and our many social events. At Glandore, we understand the value of networking, connecting, sharing experiences and most importantly, helping member companies and their employees grow. Growth is crucial for any individual or business, which is why we strive to create environments and programmes that encourage, inspire and support the growth of the companies we house. These programmes take the form of complimentary business advisory, wellness, learning and development and diversity.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Development Manager and will take responsibility for member engagement and event logistics at events across our two Belfast locations. Working within a fast-paced, friendly team, the successful candidate will work to drive member engagement across the Glandore Community.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the Business Development Manager to create and manage a range of programmes that meet our members requirements.
  • Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events
  • Prepare event space to required standards, assisting with room set-up, AV requirements and catering
  • Identify opportunities to connect members and build our Glandore Network community
  • Communicate with the wider team any member-related issues and work together to solve and exceed member expectations
  • Support marketing team with social media at events/community initiatives
  • Represent business in line with company’s culture and values
  • Promote and build member engagement and attendance at events
  • Promote and build member engagement with online members portal
  • Regular 1:1 meeting’s with members to seek feedback on programmes Glandore support on an ongoing basis
  • Liaise with other teams within the organisation regularly to optimise member experience, ensure smooth running of events
  • Working with partner organisations to build brand partnerships
  • What we’d like from you

    Have previous experience working with customers in a B2B environment.

    Be comfortable communicating and developing relationships up to CEO level

    Sales experience a plus

    Flexibility - capacity to oversee events out of normal business hours is a must

    Excellent time management, attention to detail and a hands-on approach

    Communication skills – outgoing, warm personality with a passion for networking. Ability to engage, influence and warm a room.

    Digitally savvy – support marketing team in managing social media channels and online community to create relationships and ultimately grow the company’s online brand

    As a key representative and “face” of the business, the perfect candidate will be highly professional, well presented, outgoing and warm, friendly and approachable in line with the culture of the business

    What would be a bonus?

    Experience of CRM / HubSpot

    Experience of using Canva and Mailchimp

    Hours

    Work-day hours are 08:30 – 17:30, Mon – Fri however some ad-hoc work outside of these may be required, depending on events
