Techspace is a member centric company that designs, creates & operates working environments for scaling technology companies. Now more than ever the workplace is undergoing rapid change & transformation: we aim to be at the cutting edge of workplace design, providing flexible & collaborative environments that enable technology businesses to thrive. Most importantly Techspace, at its heart, is a people business: the relationships we form with our members makes our community value proposition come to life.

  • We are the only tech workspace provider in Europe dedicated exclusively to pioneering technology teams.
  • We currently have ~200,000 sq ft of space under management in London and Berlin, 6 locations, ~3,500 members, ~75 member companies, 35 Techspace team members, and a few dogs in residence!
  • Samsara, Pleo, and Freetrade are just some of the alumni companies we’ve worked with.
  • Techspace’s events are a critical component of our business delivered through our venue, The Loading Bay, in the heart of Shoreditch. Techspace is at its heart a people business: the team we build and the relationships we form with our members is what makes our spaces come to life.

    Full Time Events Associate

We want Techspace and this role to be the starting point for a career within Events where we will give you the tools, support and pathway to success in this industry.

    Requirements

Doer- A willingness to go the extra mile and get your hands dirty to deliver an incredible event product is essential for this role. This hands-on role requires you to partner a can-do attitude with brilliant attention to detail and time management skills to consistently meet deadlines and deliver a high quality experience to everyone who comes to the Loading Bay.

Strong Communicator- An exceptional Event’s Associate has the ability to manage the expectations and demands of multiple organisers, vendors and team members simultaneously, so strong communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal and listening) combined with a strong sense of empathy are a must. A customer service background may help with this.

Passion for Events- The right attitude and interest in Events is far more important than experience in this entry level position. 1-2 years of experience in supporting events is preferred but not essential, providing you feel you embody the points above and show a willingness to go the extra mile when required. You will receive plenty of incredible opportunities for growth, learning and development.

You will also handle stock & expenses and manage the relationship with the events suppliers & contractors.
  • Delivery. You will work with a team to ensure events are completed smoothly and resolve any escalations that might occur or complaints that arise while ensuring excellent customer experience and meeting or exceeding budgeted sales and profits targets. Ability to work flexible hours and manage a varied schedule - events may start as early as 8am, or finish as late as 10pm.
