About the Training & Development Strategist position

We are looking for a Training & Development Strategist to join our team and secure our training & development initiatives, as well as act as an HR partner supporting employees in their development and managers on career management & growth decisions.

The Training & Development Strategist will be part of the Talent team, reporting to the Head of Talent.

Previous experience implementing Training & Development programs is extremely valued. Most of all, we look for someone who can work autonomously, understand fast what are most pressing training needs and how to approach them, and develop 1:1 relations with employees & managers to address career development topics.

What you will do

You will be covering two main areas:

Training & Development

  • Identify reskilling & upskilling needs;
  • Translate needs into training priorities for teams and individuals;
  • Build training programs partnering with internal and external trainers;
  • Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of assessments (if applicable), and retraining requirements;
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback;
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development;
  • Prepare and implement training budget.
  • Career Management

  • Work alongside the Head of Talent to develop and improve our performance management program;
  • Operational implementation of performance reviews;
  • Work with managers to identify career evolution opportunities for team members;
  • Responsible for professional/career development of the staff and for managing their mobility;
  • Provide coaching sessions to employees on professional/personal development processes.
  • Who you are

  • 4+ work experience in HR;
  • Previous experience developing and implementing Training & Development programs;
  • Knowledge of talent management methodologies and programs is a plus;
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills;
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work;
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences;
  • Good practical experience with office tools: MS Office, Google Drive, Slack, e-mail, among others;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English;
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.

    Beta-i fosters a work culture with great flexibility in terms of working hours and the ability to work remotely. We are a truly international and integrated team. We are currently working remotely and starting some in-person gatherings, as the pandemic allows. We want to foster an environment of a healthy work-life balance, and so Fridays’ afternoons are off.
